Current Opportunities

LEED and Energy Efficiency - Project Analyst / Business Development

We need entry-level help with LEED and Energy Consulting projects, and with business development.

You will work from home 75% of the time. You MUST BE local to the San Diego area and have reliable transportation. First and foremost this is a technical / professional service position; please do NOT apply for the business development portion only, or if you solely have a business development background.

Project responsibilities include gathering information and documenting building features for purposes of LEED certification, and for energy efficiency projects. You will need to be well organized, write well, and work independently. Entry-level knowledge and experience related to sustainable buildings and to energy use in buildings is required! A BS or a professional certificate in a related field is strongly preferred.

Regarding business development, you will need to search relevant web sites, databases and mailing lists for Requests for Proposals that match our capabilities. We may also ask you to call prospective clients, to help organize events, and to attend events, so you will need to present yourself and our services well. Once an opportunity has been identified, you will help us write proposals.

The business development portion of this opening is a great opportunity for an entry-level, technically-minded candidate to learn about our industry. Again, please do NOT apply if you only have a business development background, but no subject matter knowledge.

The distribution between project work and business development will be about 50/50, but may swing both ways depending on our workload.

The number of hours will likely be around 10-15 per week at first. We have a strong pipeline of potential projects that have not yet been awarded. When these come through, the number of hours will increase and become more regular, especially for project work. The position may be converted from subcontracting to part-time or full-time employment in the future, if there is enough work and if you are a good fit.

Please send a resume if you are interested. Since we do mostly project-based work, please include relevant project examples if you have any, as attachments or links. No cover letter is needed.

NO Phone calls please.
